BigEdits ("we", "us", "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our Services.

Information Collected

• Google Account Information: We collect your Google email address and name upon OAuth consent.
• Google API Data: Our Chrome extension accesses Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, Calendar, and similar content.

How We Use Your Data

• Account Management: Your email and name are used to create a unique Firebase-stored access token ID, managing your account status (free or paid).
• Processing Service: Temporarily storing and processing content from Google Docs, Gmail, and Slides to provide our services; all such data is deleted immediately after processing.
• Enhanced Services: Sending text and screenshots accessed from Google Slides, Docs, Gmail, and similar content to OpenAI for processing. No other data is shared with OpenAI.
• Payment Processing: Handled by Stripe. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Storage and Security

We store your personal information securely on Firebase, using industry standard encryption and security protocols. Temporary data is handled for processing account security, with immediate deletion after use.

Third-Party Sharing

We only share limited data (email and account information) with Stripe for billing purposes, and specific processing data (text and screenshots) with OpenAI. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Google Workspace APIs or any data will not be used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or machine learning models.

Data Retention and User Rights

Your data is stored as long as your account remains active or as required by law. You may delete your account at any time by logging in at https://big-edits.com.

Google API Disclosure

BigEdits complies fully with Google's API Services User Data Policy. We limit our Google user data to the specific scopes explicitly granted by you, including data required for our services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Users will be notified of significant updates via email.
